Could this really be the reason of their confidence on such small battery?

Interesting and hope it lives up to what they claim. They say it will last longer than the iPhone 6, but a little but less longer than the iPhone 6 Plus, which apparently lasts a long time

Interesting article.

It is too soon for any realistic battery usage reports, but some real world experiences will be interesting. For me, that is a couple of 5-10 minute calls, periodically checking investments and Twitter, and reading a couple of emails. I can easily run 12-14 hours on this load without killing the HD battery of a 4 year old MOT Droid Bionic.

Everyone's needs are different, so I'll settle for a comparison chart of something like the S6, S6 Edge, HTC M8 and M9, and the iPhone variants. Run a standby test, playing a video, etc and so forth.

This is good to know. But I think 14nm Exynos has more to do with it. They said it's 30% more efficient than 20nm processor like 810. That means it's way more efficient than last year's 28nm S801 in S5.
