Couple of CM7 Settings questions

Hey all so after messing around with CM7 for a while and trying to tinker with the 10000 settings available I have a couple of questions.

FIrst would be help adjusting the brightness. I would like to have it set to Auto Brightness but I feel it is a little dark right now for me. I want it to be a little more "aggressive" in brightening the screen. Which of the settings in the brightness section should I use. I also noticed that there is a Brightness section under CM7 settings as well as the Android menu itself. Do both need to be adjusted?

My other question is with Facebook, this may not be strickly do to CM7. It does not seem to want to sync contacts pictures. I have it set to sync only contacts I also have in my phone but it doesn't seem to sync any. Some of my contacts are blank and others have a old picture that somehow must have been synced to Google at some point.

Thanks for the help and pushing me over the edge to finally Rom this thing now I have GB, no more bloat, and much more control of things, I am putting this through a full days run for the first time today!

I used the display settings in the main Android menu. I turned off auto brightness and set brightness where I wanted it and it's worked fine for me. I didn't even know there was another brightness menu for a long time.

As for Facebook, I wish I could help you but I'm still trying to get the Facebook widget to work properly. I'm not sure if it's a FB issue, A CM7 issue, or both.
