Couple of questions about the Sprint Version

I plan on boycotting Sprint and getting this at Best Buy. I have a couple of questions about when I could get it though:

1. If I preorder it through BB in the store do you think it would be available for pickup on Friday (10-4) or is that just the shipping day?
2.If i preorder it online can I pick it up on friday from the store?
3. I am seeing a lot of people say stuff about a $50 gift card for preordering. What is that about?
4. If i can't get it from BB on the 4th, will the Sprint Stores have it in store on the 4th?
5. If I ask an employee if they will have it, how honest/accurate will they be?

My upgrade is tomorrow and Im going to be near Best Buy later so I was going to preorder it then but if there is a chance that they won't have it on Friday and Sprint will then I want to wait. I am really excited for this phone. Thanks for any help.

i like Best Buy and bought phones and a lot of other stuff from them before but they burned me on a preorder before. it was the Sprint Galaxy Nexus. i preordered and put down my $50 and went to Best Buy the day they said it would be there. i show up and they said they don't have it yet. luckily i had a Plan B and ran over to the Sprint corporate store and bought it there - then i went back to Best Buy and got a refund on the $50 store card they made me buy. so my advice is this - have a Plan B - always have a contingency plan. and make sure you are obligation free and can get your money back on any deposit.

Sprint won't have LTE even in my state until the end of 2014 is that doesn't really matter to me.

i'm leaving for AT&T GoPhone/LTE with a Nexus 5 soon - what can i expect vs. this?

Wouldn't it best toto simply contact your local Best Buy for the answers to your questions?

I would recommend speaking to a Manager, preferably in the Mobile Department, to get answers. Get a name, and let them know in a professional manner that they are held accountable for their responses.

I tried to pre-order today via a corporate store and they told me no pre orders or even a waiting list. I will be utilizing the One Up plan, even though the csr said no pre orders at all. I'll be going in on the 4th anyway.

I just went in to BB and the guy promised that it would be there on Friday. I preordered and went to the ATT store next door and got a good half hour with a live model before I had to leave. I'm so excited!
