I'm still getting used to the Maxx and Android in general. So far it's been a very positive experience but a couple of small things are driving me nuts.

First is the search button on the lower right. I'm not even sure why it's there but it's perfectly positioned so that I'm constently touching it and disrupting whatever I'm trying to do......I would love to make this go away.

Second is the sensitivity of the sreen itself. Kind of an extension of the first but I'm having a lot of trouble with this. Again, I would love to decrease the sensitiviy or induce a very slight delay. It's almost as if just "hovering" over a key causing it to activate.

Third is the on email accounts. I have both a Yahoo and a Gmail but for some reason the phone has decided the "default" account is Yahoo and I want it to be Gmail. So far I've not found a way to chage the "default".

I like the phone and it's so much better than my Storm I can learn to live with these but if I could make some changes it would be great.

For the email issue click on your email app, then the menu button, then email settings. Scroll down to default email account where you can change it there.

If that doesn't work, go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications and go to your Yahoo app. Hit Clear Defaults if it gives you the option to. Then when you go to compose an email, it should ask you which program you'd like to use.

I would agree. The screen is way to sensitive. It takes me twice as long to type using the Maxx keyboard vs my physical blackberry keyboard and a lot of that is because of the sensitivity. As for bottom keys. I would move the home to key to the far left and put the menu key on the far right with the back and search i the middle.

I had problems with sensitivity of the screen at first but got used to it pretty quickly. I've tried Swiftkey for a couple of weeks now and while it's much better than the stock keyboard, I'm much faster on Swype even with using it for only a few days. I'm still not as fast as I was on my previous phone with a physical keyboard, but maybe in time...

I was having the opposite sensitivity problem... This latest system update fixed it.. The problem was when I touched an app widget it wouldn't recognize my touch.. So annoying.. But much better now

The sensitivity of my screen seems to change at will. Sometimes an app will open if I just hover over the widget and other times I have to tap the widget two or three times.

I'm wondering if it's due to the fact that I'm using a screen protector. I clean it every night with a screen cleaner, but it can pick-up fingerprints during the day. I'm guessing that the more fingerprints, the longer it takes for a widget to activate.

Maybe a screen protector would help the screen sensitivity for the OP.
