Couple questions on messaging and always-on display

Ok, so I just got my new S9+ and came across two things I can't figure out.

One: When viewing text messages, long texts are cut off with a "view all" option to view the entire message. Is there a way to change that so it displays entire messages by default?

Two: Is there a way to add a Weather FaceWidget to the Always-On display?

Hi yup... that's how the messaging app works now. I have gotten used to it now and actually like the full view after the tap for long messages.

Re weather... I dont use AOD because I rely on my Gear S3 for persistent information. (Another reason I use stock messages and email as well).

But I heard some people have used weather apps with a notification icon to shownthatnon AOD.

The way they condense the message and make you click to see the full message is just obnoxious. I don't know why anyone would want that "feature." They should make a way to disable it but they don't. The only way to avoid this is to get a 3rd party messaging app.
