Question Chrome download location can't be chosen

Chrome download location can no longer be chosen on Android app, anyone else has this issue?

I looked this up, not that I care where my files go as long as I know where to find them, but Google says this about your issue.

On Android, Chrome's ability to change download locations is restricted by system storage permissions, often limiting files to the default .../data/com.android.chrome/files/Download folder. While you can enable "Ask where to save" in Settings > Downloads, many users report it no longer prompts or allows choosing custom folders, often limiting options to only the default folder.

There might a work around with a third party app like Tasker. I know a while back I used it to save pictures to a new folder after taking them so I assume with the right profile setup you could do something similar with downloads.

Do you still see the option mentioned, "Ask... " in settings?

Yeah, you’re not alone this seems to be happening to a lot of people on newer Chrome versions on Android
