Which cpu governors are the best for this tablet? I have root access by the way 4.4.2 kitkat TouchWiz.

Set CPU is a pretty good one. Haven't used it in a while due to many custom ROMs have the ability to change the CPU clock speed embedded in the ROM itself.

I have the Exynos 5420, and so far I have not overclocked or underclocked the cpu because I am worried that it might brick my tablet. Although recently I have been considering underclocking it.

I thought the whole point of the octa-core was to only use enough processor power to cleanly render the subject?

I am new to this tablet and wonder what your battery life is like?
It seems good to me, whether surfing the web or streaming video.

Maybe I'm just old and out of touch or not a power user.

My battery life is generally good. However if I start playing my favorite games it will rapidly drop. One time I played the amazing spiderman 2 for an hour, then I got a warning that the battery was at 15 percent. As of now I have been having to charge my tablet nightly and I always worry that I might forget to charge it one night and then I won't be able to use it for school the next day.

Ah, I see.
Games can really work the GPU's.

Wouldn't it get glitchy if the processor was unable to keep up with the screen refresh?

If you need it for school have you considered a 10k mA backup battery pack?
At least then you could fully charge it while on the move.

I have a 10,000MaH backup, but it takes a long time to charge the backup.

I also do not want to charge it while taking notes because my tablet has to be either upside down to charge or flat on its back.

5 hours @ 2A, theoretically.

I've just flipped my tab over while charging, but understand it can be awkward if you use the buttons a lot.
Movies or something is no problem.
