whats an ideal overclocking speed? ive heard if you underclock it can actually be worse for your phone.

There is good evidence to suggest that extreme underclocking is a bad idea, for both your processor and for your battery.

However, the jury is still out on slight underclocking. It really depends upon your apps, usage, and settings. I have not noticed significant difference with slight underclocking, so I also keep mine at 600 min on the interactive gov.

i paid 27 dollars for a year protection plan on this phone. i got my phone from radioshack for 149.99 on launch day, and they have since given me a free backup battery, and informed me that when my year is up i can give them back my phone for 149.99 towards purchase of a new phone.
So in the mind that im only going to be using this phone for 1 year, I overclock it to 844-806 interactive. ive ran it for extended periods at 864, which is my max. I bought my girlfriend the same phone, and if i set hers at 864 it borks her phone all up. It all depends on the exact phone you got, and how you plan on treating it.

Using AOSP 2.3.4 I have my clock set to 600 min & 864 Max. Each phone is different in what it can handle but this works good for me. My battery life has never been better than a full day with or without mods.
