My note 5 is running over 100 F. Most of the time. It gets up to 167 F. In the morning after taking if off the charger it was 133 F. Today. Is this normal?

I noticed when I was using the Note 5 at Best Buy that the demo unit seemed to be quite warm. Of course, it was set at maximum brightness and running constantly. I set the brightness lower and it seemed to cool down.

Mine was running quite hot as well. Mid 40's mostly (104-122F). Had it replaced today as I was concerned. Guess what... new device seems to be very similar in fact. Perhaps a few degrees cooler, but not much. Will have to monitor over the next few days. Maybe I was over anxious returning it O:-)

Would be nice to start tracking some numbers in here actually.
  1. Purely idling device, all apps closed
  2. Open CPU-Z/AIDA let temperature settle
  3. Report figure here

Screen print. CpU. Temp is 122 F. after sitting idle for one hour.

CpuZ has an error in conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

So which isn't correct one? AIDA64 and CPU-Z show the same values in Celsius.
Celsius is correct. There is an error in the Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion.

Really? I struggle to get mine over 92°F (according to GSam), even when playing games (clash of clans, fallout shelter, etc).
The only time I actually feel the phone getting warm is when I'm outside using it in direct sunlight.

Edit: ran antutu just to see temps, and it didn't get over 84°F once.
