Yes. Unless Sprint techs can fix it. But Sprint techs can not fix screens. And the screen unit is all one part anyways. So really its your only way out I think. But hell if it works then use it until its dead! Unless its that annoying.

Yeah just a lil annoying but I'm going to get a case tomorrow and hold out as long as they are on back ordered. Lol

when I cracked the screen on my EVO I just took it back to the sprint store and they replaced the screen free of charge under the insurance. Can you not do that now?

Based on prices I've seen, that will cost him more than a deductible, won't guarantee results, and will still leave him with a banged up case (if it was). And then, if he botches the repair, his insurance will be worthless. I would only attempt it if I DIDN'T have insurance.

Same here! Never broked my SGS1, even if it has fallen many times.. I've broken my SGS3 after 1 week!

It's not so critical as the glass is cracked at the very bottom near the 'menu' butt.
