So the other day, I had my iPod touch and my Thunderbolt in the same right pocket. When I took my Thunderbolt out of my pocket at the end of the night, the screen had a crack across the screen and it was scratched all over the place. What happened to Gorrilla Glass?

Anybody wanna guess why this would happen?

Oh NOES!!!!! I hope you had the warranty that covers ADH. As clumsy as I can be sometimes (I managed to break a pistol, ffs) I always get the ADH warranty.

sorry to hear it, hope you have adh as well. i keep my tb in a pouch that i paid $2 for in my pocket to keep this from happening.

Sorry to hear that what a bummer hope you have insurance. I always try to make sure my Bolt is alone in my pockets or like the above poster using a pouch can really help.

What happened to Gorilla Glass is right. This is another case of how easy the Thunderbolt screen can be damaged and it's not going to be the last. Why would Gorilla Glass put on their website that it's used on the Thunderbolt when it's so bad? Was it a bad batch?

This is why my Thunderbolt is always in my pocket by itself. I also keep it in a Sena Ultra Thin case to protect the screen.

Its easy, What was in your pocket besides the phone? Something scratched the glass. Was there a case on the phone? Hoiw about a screen protector on that huge screen??

I don't ever remember HTC saying gorilla glass was used on the Bolt. In fact that was one if the cons against buying it from what I recall.

It sounds to me like a corner or side of your iPod Touch was able to make contact with your Bolt screen at some point at an angle and pressure applied. Maybe when you sat down, or maybe leaned on something.

I've crack screens on 2 different old phone by leaning up against things like a counter or desk. That was years ago. I never put anything in the same pocket as my bolt, and I always make sure to put the screen facing my leg.

Who knows why it broke, what we do know is that it most likely happened because you had the iPod in there with it and it got just the right pressure point to crack your screen. Bad news man, but I wouldn't blame the phone or the glass. Could just chalk it up to bad luck with a little human error sprinkled in, I guess. That was saying it the nice way. ;)

you should keep two devices in the same pocket, especially one that costs so much. Common sense goes a long way these days.

Sorry to hear that but it was not smart to put two devices in same pocket.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt.

Gorrilla Glass is alive and well, it's just not on the Thunderbolt.

What would possess you to put multiple things in your pocket that have large GLASS fronts on them?

Use some (not-so) common sense.

You might want to buy some cargo pants and use a dedicated pocket for each device you carry, or buy a belt clip?.. or are you one of those guys that wear your pants down below your butt?
