Cracked screen and cant open maps on PC

Hi guys,
Dropped my Nexus 4 this week and the screen is completely wasted. I would like to get some of the stuff from my phone to my PC, but the thing is that I cant unlock the screen now (phone is still working) and I read somewhere that I cant get into the maps of my phone when plugged in the PC if i dont unlock the screen.

Is there anybody out there that can help me get inside my Nexus 4?
