Hello,

I had my LG Nexus 4 8G for about 25 days when I dropped it and cracked the front screen.:-X I cannot operate or get into it now. It works as a phone, but the screen is not functional.
I want to get my texts backed up. Any method to remote into so I can do a back-up?
I have already tried the Androidscreencast and SDK method, but it never seems to see my phone. I am on a WIN8 laptop.

Please help!

Thanks,
Lisa

It would be almost impossible without function of the screen, sorry to say that particularly if you have a lock on it.

Hi Lisa.

Am I correct in interpreting this to mean that the screen is not simply failing to display, but also does not accept touch control? If so, I'm afraid I have no solution to proffer. If not, and if it does take touch gestures, a SlimPort adapter should do the trick.

You are correct Jeremy, it does not allow touch control. Thanks for trying. I'll get it fixed, and sell it or keep as a spare. lol!
