Dropped my rezound the other day and cracked the screen. Everything still works just have this ugly ass crack I have to look at. Has anyone replaced the screen yet? I can't find any how to videos. Is it similar to the thunderbolt?

Just a word of caution- If you need a video to walk you through replacing the screen, you may not want to venture into taking the phone apart. But then again, it isn't like you have much to lose.

I would email HTC and ask for the schematic. I am an engineer and have found that to be the best approach to dismantling something you're unsure of.

My other suggestion is to add insurance. If the phone still works, you should have no problem. Pay the deductible and call it a day.

I have a degree in electronics. I am comfortable performing the work, just wanted to know if the process was the same.

Just for clarification, you chose not to pick up insurance coverage on your Rezound? I doubt anyone has done so, yet. I hit alotta forums but I've seen no one post about a cracked screen DIY fix. Only thing. I've seen w/ a disassembled Rezound was done to show the interna hardware structure. However, I would assume it would be a simililar fix to the TB b/c all HTC screens aren't truly sealed to the body like most other devices.
