Cracked Screen

Accidentally fell and shattered the screen. The touch still works, so I'm guessing just the top part needs to be replace. I have been reading a lot on it and it says the two are glued together. Has anybody replaced just the screen? How is it?

Have you looked at any YouTube videos about it? iFixit does some pretty detailed ones for teardowns. The question is did they do one for your device or not?

Not a single video on it unfortunately (for the 2014 edition). iFixit also doesn't have one.

It's best to replace the whole digitizer assembly. If you just replace the glass you might find the screen no longer responds correctly because there will be air gaps under the glass.
