well... basically Ive got three questions... One, I'm having trouble finding a how-to video or even a text with pictures walk-through. Does anybody know where I can find one preferably a video? Second question... Does anyone have experience with any service company like...
Samsung SGH Vibrant T959 (Tmobile) - eBay (item 170551554157 end time Nov-10-10 09:23:05 PST)
And third and final question... How important is this to get fixed right now? like will the glass cut into the screen and make it worse? it is fully functional, even where the crack is. How many people have a crack in there screen and how long has it been there?...
Well I guess the 3 and final question was like 3-4 more questions in one but...
you get the point, any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Props to you for being able to buy the phone cheaper because of a cracked screen. I would never be able to stand it. :/

i dont really understand what your asking.
the first question does not even have a subject? are you looking for a video on how to replace the screen or waht?

i dont know anything about that service company but if they have positive reviews they usually are not hoaxed and is worth giving it a try. but rather than ebay, id search craigslist. i know they have a lot of iphone repairs on clist but idk about galaxy s.

and a cracked screen, if your phone is functioning fine, is not a big deal and you have nothing to worry about. you can let it be forever as long as you dont get it wet

First off... the subject is my screen is cracked. Thought if it was not obvious enough from me saying it, that the pictures might help the illiterate. I also thought it was obvious by me saying "Does anybody know of a how-to video?", that what I was looking for, was a video of how to fix it. Basically, I was not sure if I was gonna try it myself or have shop do it. When you said "I don't really understand what you're asking." that's whatever, but by following that with "the first question does not even have a subject"? that's where it turns. However, I do thank you for the answer to my third part of the question... "Will the glass cut into the screen and make it worse?" You basically said "it will be fine, just don't get it wet", and once again.. I'm serious, thank you!

You know... I bit my tongue on the first rude response. That is what started my current level of frustration... and nobody wanted your opinion whether or not a Vibrant with a crack in the screen was good enough for you. I'm just saying, I'm from Baltimore and where I'm from you don't talk to people this way. Discipline teaches respect.

I would love nothing more then for AndroidCentral to start putting up crackberry numbers, but smart rude responses like the first response and the beginning of the second response.. aren't gonna get it to happen. I may be new here, but people like this that are gonna criticize, are the one that need to find a new forum. Crackberry has 2.7 million members, we have 83,651. I left blackberry over a year ago, but I'll tell you one thing... that forum is the only thing they have left on us. Get it together, we should be helping one another, and not with their grammar. It was very clear what I was asking, and here are 2 responses that could have made someone else turn to another forum. Especially knowing that I have not had that many posts. Get your leadership skills in order.

I closed this thread before it gets further down a road I don't want to travel. It may be re-opened, it may not.

1. We are not Crackberry. We have our own administration guidelines, and our own staff. I am a long time member at Crackberry, and enjoy both their news and forums.

2. I don't think either of the replies to the OP were meant to ridicule. One may have been a bit off topic, but if we kill every off topic response we miss out on the great conversations that outside the box thinking can spur.

3. If you feel like you've run into a troublesome member (yes, they exist everywhere) report the post and move along. We have a very active moderation staff, and I'd wager your issue will be investigated in just a few minutes by one of us. We're here to help you have a pleasant experience, but that means that sometimes you have to try to ignore what bothers you and let us handle it. We will.

To answer your questions:

Here is a very good Galaxy S teardown video. It's in Italian, but Google translate will help you navigate the page.

I have not heard of that company. They seem to have very good eBay feedback, and what you need done is pretty simple. If you try, be sure to let others know how the experience went.

As long as the crack doesn't interfere with the actual display or digitizer, it doesn't hurt anything. Be warned that it will probably get bigger, and will probably affect the display and digitizer eventually. As mentioned, water can seep in now, so be very careful in wet or moist environments.
