Hey guys! Still pretty new to android phones, had iphones before my S7. Quick introduction question for you....how do I set my phone up to automatically sync the contacts, pictures and videos? Preferably over WiFi only

Welcome to the forums. I am not sure there is a way to sync only over wifi. You can force a sync to happen at any time, though.

Hi and welcome to AC Settings > accounts > Google - this will allow you to set up different apps for syncing to your Google account, like contacts. As Golfdriver mentioned though, I don't think you can arrange for it to only happen over WiFi.

As for Photos and Videos - download Google Photos - this will allow you to sync / backup all your devices photos / videos to your Google account - within the Google Photos settings you can ask it to backup only over WiFi if you want

Store everything in your google account and it'll sync automatically. As for WiFi... there's not a lot of data being pushed, so I wouldn't worry too much about that side of it.
