Creating Space

Pardon me but total newbie here regarding androids and smartphones as a whole. How do i create space on my homescreens, i have some apps running on them (e-mail, FB, etc) that i don't want on on of those screens and want to replace with other wigets. How do i remove them without deleting them?

when you remove an app from your homescreen.. it doesnt delete the app at all. just the icon/shortcut on the screen.

for anything on any screen.. you simply hold ur finger down on the icon/widget.. and the phone will vibrate and the icon/widget will have a green box around it. drag it to the bottom of the screen (should be a REMOVE icon there) and release it.. it takes it off.

you can also move the icon/widget to another part of the screen or another screen by holding down on the icon/widget again until the green box appears/phone vibrates.. and just drag it where you want it and then let go
