That's pretty much what they told me on a chat. Although, someone on another thread said he used it for a me S6 tablet. Others ordered the old Active watch. I was told definitely no on the **Active2** pre-order.

a watch is mobile for a test I would still put any watch in the shopping cart and then add the code to see if it would work. You can see without buying. I don't always trust the info given by chat.

You can use the credit for the active 2, just not for the pre-order. You have to wait until it is for sale, then you can use your credit. It's officially on sale September 27th.

Thanks. I returned my Tab S6 to amazon and used the $200 towards a the tablet from samsung. Same money saved, no big deal.

I have been battling with Samsung about this all weekend over the phone, chat and emails and the answer is always the same they are not allowing credit to be used on the galaxy watch active 2 during or after preorder.Only things we can use the credit on are the items you can see from the redeem link.

Yeah, that's definitely not true. You are not limited to only using it on the items they initially show you when you click on the redemption link. None of the items I used the credit towards were on that list.

I've been doing the same. I chatted on pre order day and was told that they would email me a new code. Then I received an email saying it wouldn't be possible and that the credit can only be used on certain items. I sent a reply explaining the confusion and a lot of people myself included were expecting to be able to use the credit towards the active 2. I then asked if it's possible to apply the credit once the watch officially goes on sale. My email was escalated and the response was the same you received. So I'm debating pre-ordering to not miss out on the freebie. If by release day the credit can't be used then I don't miss out. But if the credit is applicable I can return the watch and buy another using the credit.
