I called Google and their service reps said that it would take me 1-2 days to receive the order after it was confirmed to be shipped. I received the confirmation of shipping on February 26th. I should have gotten it yesterday but according to the lady, she's very "frustrated" and "understands" how angry I am. I asked her if I should just re-order the phone because on the 25th of February it showed "In Stock" and said "Delivered in 3-5 business days" and she said "No, just wait on your current order, it'll be there in 1-2 days" now it ends up being one ****ing week. So I called her back and she said "when you receive the order call up Google and escalate your call to tier 2 and see if they can refund your shipping charge" so they had better refund or I will pursue legal action.

Honestly, that's some next level false advertising on Google's part.

So you're going to take legal action for 16$? Honesty? Just cancel your order if you're that pissed...

I also ordered a 16 GB model yesterday, and I got the shipping confirmation at about 3 am Central Time this morning. Seems as if Google really has (most) orders shipping out almost immediately now!

I was given the whole "1-2 weeks until shipment" as well, but that's obviously not necessarily the case.

I received my Google Play shipment email (with UPS tracking #) on March 1, 11:04 PM.

Sheesh! I wasn't expecting to receive any update until 2 weeks or more. Hooray!

As _JKK_ mentioned, Google must be processing orders quickly now with new Nexus 4 stock.

Did you check your status in Google Wallet?
Maybe a problem with your address, credit card, etc. that needs to be corrected?
That can cause delays.
 
Ordered on 25th and i have a ship date of the 17th. They charged my card almost immediately even though they said they wouldn't charge it until it shipped. That's B.S., considering they are charging us for 2-day shipping. If the phone really takes that long to get here the SG4 will be out by then...........If they don't get it together by the time the SG4 is released i can't even begin to imagine how many buyers they will lose......

That's not a charge, its a check to see if you have the funds, it will fall off in three days and once they ship you will be charged

On your first point, I agree totally. However it does not make it right. You seem to take the corporate suck up route in your perspective. That will gain you no browny points dude. The point I was trying to make was that regardless of which company is doing it, it still is not right. The 2-day shipping charge should be waived for orders that take more than 3 days to process and ship. All I'm calling for is a change in their behavior. It is misleading to charge 2 days shipping on an item that takes 3 weeks to receive. Just because they ALL have been doing this doesn't make it right. I understand that you and others like you don't see the harm in corporations being misleading but as our consumer culture changes we expect to be treated fairly. Consumer culture change takes decades sometimes. With your conservative views (defending the current status quo) things are much slower to change. Your views are a drag on the overall culture change. Realize I'm not whining here but rather trying to bring light to something that is misleading (charging 2 days shipping on an order that takes 3 weeks to get). I don't expect you to understand. Just sit back and let the more liberal/progressive loud mouths like myself push for change. Then you can, as they always have, walk on the path (that being consumer rights) we have paved for you.
 
Ordered my 8 gb 2/20/13 - from Florida
Started reading this forum diligently to see how long it might take... and died of frustration reading how some people got theirs almost immediately, and others waited weeks.
Called Google on the 24th because none of the dates matched up. It said when I ordered 1-2 weeks, then on the Wallet page it said Mar 7. Well, Mar 7 is not 2 weeks, it's 15 days from Feb 20, and if that was the shipping date, even at 2 day shipping, it wouldn't get here for 17 days.
I was told it SHIPPED already when I reached the rep. YAY!

2 days later (26th- 6 days after ordering), no email... no charge to credit card... so I called again. This time the person said it didn't show anything for shipping, and the first Google rep lied to me on the phone.

So, I asked for a Supervisor, and she said they'd get back with me. I got 3 emails explaining the phones were shipped in order. I knew this was a lie just based on the haphazard shipping information from people here, so I got mad and called back to cancel my order (was going to buy a phone from the T-mobile store at that point)... and they wouldn't LET ME. You have 1 hour to cancel your order or you wait for it to ship, then return it RMA and pay the $20 they charge for 2 day shipping!!!

Who ever heard of ordering something online, getting conflicting shipping dates, getting charged for 2 DAY shipping on something not shipping for 2+ weeks, and this for ordering something that could mean your only potential emergency communication device with the world (again, I had NO cellphone the whole time). And THEN, not let you cancel the order to buy elsewhere when it appeared to take an unreasonable shipping time beyond the dates listed on the website? What company does business this way?

Feb 27 morning (next day), I got the email. So all was forgiven, and I was happy again. I got the phone 2/28.. so with 2 day shipping, they apparently shipped it the day I called.

Thanks to everyone who posted to this thread... while waiting for my phone from Googleplay, I spent many hours hopping back here to see how long it was taking everyone to get theirs. Hope this helps those still waiting... 7 days from date of order til the email, for the 8 gig in the US.

When you place your order it shows you the shipping times based on stock levels, once it ships it goes out in two day shipping. All that info was there when you placed the order so why get mad? Mine showed a 1 to 2 week shipping date and once it shipped it arrived in 1 day. And to be honest a 13 buck shipping charge is reasonable. Ive paid close to that for normal shipping

I ordered a 16 gb on the 2nd, my card was charged in the next couple of hours.. but a few minutes later they put the money back ..
I am a little puzzled says will be shipped in 1-2 weeks and they will charge once the phone is shipped.. don't know really whats happening..
