Since updating to 5.1.1 yesterday, I've been plagued with this annoying message when returning to my homescreen sometimes:
Currently unable to download. Please try again later

I can't work out what's causing it but it's driving me insane.

Any suggestions please?

I see that on mine maybe once a week or so. Cant figure it out either.
My guess is that its a Samsung app. A few days ago my device downloaded 2 samsung apps with out me accepting them. F-You samsung for allowing this practice.

It's not a samsung thing. my lg does the same. i got lollipop about same day as you. will watch here if anyone finds a fix.

Just a wild guess but maybe check your storage? Are you close to maxed out? Very little free space left?

Mine was doing that for a while but stopped but when I clear the cache the issue stopped but before that when I had the issue I just took it off mobile data and used WiFi for some reason it worked . I'll leave a YouTube link on clearing cache

I was planning on doing a full reset but I haven't noticed the message for the past week or so.

No doubt as soon as I post this comment, it will happen again

Thank you for the clearing cache thing. BTW - it was an update to Chrome Browser that was the mystery download unable ... message. It's been bugging me alot lately

Check for MMS messages that have NOT been downloaded. Download them even if expired. This fixed my problem.
