Curved Back

Had to get rid of my Essential PH1 and currently considering the HTC U11. I mount my phone on a magnetic mount that is clipped onto the car vent. The Essential was great for this due to its flat back. I understand that the U11 has quite a lot of curves including a curved back. I visited a couple of Best Buy stores hoping to see a display model but they did not have it.

Could someone tell me if the curvature of the back of the U11 would be a problem for me using the magnetic mount?

I hated the curved back of my (Motorola-built) Google Nexus 6.

It's not that curved. Not even close. I have a few different cases and slap a metal plate in all but the clear Spigen. No issues using the magnetic vent mounts.

I have mine in a case, which is a must for this glass phone and I use a magnet in my car too. Works great.

I use the Kenu magnetic mount with my U11. Great mount. Metal plate is inside my Incipio case. Not an issue for you.

I'm sure it will work fine with a magnetic mount - do not worry!
