Well since we're all waiting for Verizon and other aftermarket companies to make their docks available...

let's see what you've come up with?

I made myself a dock at home out of Legos that sits the phone in portrait mode and serves double duty as my alarm clock

and I took an old Moto Q dock and gutted it and fit a microUSB cable in the proper spot so it works with my Incredible now on my desk at work...

Borrowed my buddies Moto Droid and snapped this shot of my Incredible in my Moto Q dock

Thank Roy - I'm scrounging around for another Moto Q dock to replace my lego one - it was tossed together quickly to answer a need at home (I may try to may a landscape one next though)

Very nice I'm going to try to play with my kids legos now and see what I can make :)

Sweet. How difficult was it to gut/fit the moto q dock? I imagine not much, but I've never seen the dock.

Easy - 4 screws hold the bottom on (under the rubber feet)

separate the top and bottom and yank the guts out - toss them

figure out where the charge port on the Incredible lines up with the side of the dock - cut a new hole there big enough to fit the end of your microUSB cord of choice - mine press fit snug so I didn't need to glue or attach it - your mileage may vary based upon your cord and skills

if I can find another dock - I'll whip up a quick how-to when I mod that one - I did this at my desk at work while I was bored

Awesome. I may get one and give it a shot soon. I'm currently waiting on Monoprice to get their usb/microusb cables back in stock. I missed the boat on getting those before everyone owned their stock. =]

Very nice. I want to go home now and rummage through my son's Lego box.

]This is the latest version of my dock. I made one last week that wasn't quite up to par.

This one is a gutted iPod dock from about 5 years ago. The back is fiberglass and plastic and has a holder for my bluetooth.

I'll be painting it this weekend with the android colors and will post updated pics when complete.

Not really. I'm planning on trying to work on an adapter for the bottom of the phone to charge but for now this is all I do:

and those leather ones look like garbage.

I agree with you there Tony. I thought about making one of those out of Carbon Fiber but then I was digging through my drawer at work and found this. I used it last night on my nightstand and I liked it so much I think I'll make another one. Once this is painted it will look really good. This one is for my desk at work, the one for the house won't need a bluetooth holder.

That's not a bad price at all. With free shipping you can't go wrong. The only thing for me is that I like it to have something supporting the phone on the side so it doesn't get knocked off easily.

Especially with the USB cable attached if I'm moving papers around on my desk and hit the phone it'll come off easily.

Maybe if you just put a piece of rubber (like under rugs on a hardwood floor) on the back of the stand to keep the phone from sliding. Or if you have a rubber case. If it had something on the sides, I'd buy it instantly.

Thanks for sharing the link, this would be great for all kinds of other devices too.

Yeah I was thinking of putting a piece of felt or grip thing on the back to keep it in place.
I may buy one or two and play with it.
