custom on S24 notification sounds not there anymore

I have a S24 and I want to know if it is true that Samsung has eliminated individual sounds associated with different app notifications.
I sounded too odd to believe that every notification sound has to be the same sound, but thats what I understood from Samsung support. I had an S10 before I purchased this S24 and for every app that I needed a different sound , I was able to pick a different ring tone . This allowed me to know when something important was coming thru, I would here that sound and look at it.
Unless, I am looking at the wrong settings, EVERY notification comes to me with the same sound , which seems crazy. Any help or clarification on this would be greatly appreciated.

Not removed, just 'grouped' by default. You can always toggle that option back to individual notification categories (that you can customize with sounds/vibration/etc. individually).

Just go to the Notifications Settings on your phone and go to Advanced Settings. There, toggle on the 'Manage notification categories for each app' option.

I will add that you need to scroll to the bottom of the individual app settings and select "notification categories" which is hidden if you don't scroll to the bottom of the screen. Still not all app offer to add a sound, which may just be the app.
