I just put the ones I wanted in a folder marked notifications and it works but the text one cuts the song off after about 3 seconds and doesn't repeat it which annoys me. I don't know if that is Verizon Message + which otherwise I really like, or not.
Go to settings, storage. At the bottom of the storage window, you'll see explorer. Find your mp3 file, copy and paste it into the ringtone folder in the opening list of folders. below downloads, DCIM, etc. Restart your phone. Give it a minute or two after you restarted the phone. Go into settings, sounds, phone ringtones, and it should be there. Heres a link to youtube.
I cannot add a custom ringtone from my device storage to either my alarm or phone dialer. This was not a problem on my Galaxy S6 and I was using the same google alarm clock. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?
Play the mp3 you want to use as a ringtone using a music player such as Poweramp. While it's playing click on the three dots at the top right and select. "ringtone"
