My "Pendo Pad 10" - which is actually a branded Winner A33-U106 - has always had problems with malware, so I wiped it and did a bit of digging... Exactly as I suspected, the malware is contained within the factory-installed ROM and as such, cannot be disabled or removed.
I have also discovered that this is apparently a common thing with Android devices made by Winner (which includes virtually the entire line of "Pendo" products).
Anyway, I would like to install a custom ROM... Preferably something close to (Android) stock, but it doesn't matter too much - as long as it's not a Pendo/Winner ROM and I can access the Google Play Store.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
