Excellent work, good sir, may have to rock that one for caa couple weeks now ;)

Also, everyone check out this thread at XDA:

Custom splash screens, wallpapers... (themes to come soon!) - xda-developers

Some cool images to grab and throw in the zip..

Can you post the file of the girls kissing? I love that one. Used to have a poster with that pic over my bar.

dude, really? Can you be more a of jerk? Are you saying save the file, then rename it as a zip? That is what I'm guessing, but you didn't leave any instructions. If your going to post to help, then help. Or go back to xda with that attitude. We are friendly here at AC.

When messing in hboot is not to be taken lightly. So clearer directions, or just posting the darn file would be helpful.

No, what I'm saying is that THE.INSTRUCTIONS.ARE.IN.THE.SECOND.POST.ON.THIS.PAGE.

It really doesn't get any easier. Click, and read. It's very very simple to make these as long as you have the instructions. And I'm actually very helpful when it comes to phones, but I help those who help themselves. Do yourself a favor, and read the instructions, and try it on your own. Then come to me if you still need help.

The instructions he was refering to are here.

[HOW TO] Create custom hboot-flashable SPLASH1 images - xda-developers

I'd make one for you but I've never done it before and I'm not set up to at the moment.

Hope this helps

Thanks, that's the kind of response I was hoping for. I'm a little nervous doing something like this. I'm more comfortable using a file that I know someone else has used and worked. The last thing I need is to mess up something small, and brick my phone.

I appreciate that others make this stuff and throw it out there for the rest of us. That's all I was asking for. I don't mean to sound lazy, just not comfortable. Plus, I use a MAC. Thanks again pville

It's impossible to brick your phone by doing this, because all you're changing is the image that displays when your phone boots up- even if it's not done perfectly, you'll just keep the old image.

Macs do suck when it comes to things like this, and i don't want any hard feelings so as an olive branch, I'll make you one if you wanna post the picture that you want, if you'd like... If not, no biggie..

Hey man,

Olive branch accepted. Maybe I overreacted. I just like that pic. It's damn hot, but after some consideration, I don't think it would be appropriate at my work to have that pic pop up if I have to reboot my phone. :)

I am looking for a good one of the Phillies Logo. I currently have the Penn state logo that was on the XDA forum.

Just set it face down if you have to reboot it lol. I'll post the zip when I get home in case you wanna try it, and I'll make a Phillies one for ya if you find an image that you like. Or Stoney on that XDA thread is pretty good with PhotoShop if you want him to whip you up something, and he'll even make the zip for you if you ask him to.

ok so when i go into hboot and i'm looking at "fast boot" "recovery" ect. i would imagine that is should just find it and ask me to flash? maybe i saved it wrong on the sd card, or do i need to reformat the sd card?

You need to be rooted

You need to be S-Off

The file must be named PB31MG.zip

The file must be on the root of your SD card (Card should be FAT32)

HBOOT will see the file and prompt you if you want to flash update.

Hope this helps.

When replacing the splash screen are you replacing the animated screen? If so could I out a gif there? I want to put the Matrix code as my boot screen

No. This is the splash screen that you see right when your phone boots up. What you're talking about is the boot animation, and the stock one on the Inc is that red animation that flashes all the different phone specs. I believe it's the exact same process to change your boot ani, but I don't remember if you can use gifs. XDA should have a nice thread about it and there's probably even one here on AC if you look..
