I just switched to aokp build 31, and am wondering if I can use a custom theme that was meant for build 28 on this build? I would think so, but just want to make sure. Thanks!

You might want to wait for it to be updated - there's a chance some of it will work, and parts wont, or it c ould just boot loop you.

If you really dont want to wait, just make a nandroid backup first - then flash the theme. If you have a problem, restore the backup and problem solved.

It will only work correctly if the framework wasnt changed - hard to say if it was or was not between those versions without having a close look.

You can try but there is two possibilities...

1. It will flash okay and run okay but there may be tweaks and updates to the newer Framework-res.apk, SystemUi.apk and other affected system files that will be canceled out by the old theme's files.

2. It won't flash and that is because something in the old build's theme conflicts with the newer builds system files.

Bottom line if your going to try, make a Nandroid Backup before flashing so you can return just in case of problems.

Roman says build 31 could be done without a wipe from 30, so most likely themes from 30 would work on 31, but like the guys said make a backup.

*insert witty tapatalk2 sig*
