Custom Wallpaper

Is there a way to add my own picture as a wallpaper without it wanting to crop it to a square image? I created an image so taht it fit the screen and it still wants to crop it to a square, even though when it puts it up there, it zooms it in to make it fit to the right height.

The res for wallpapers is different than the screen res, I can't remember it offhand though..
