Download and flash in either Mobile Odin or in the pda slot Odin.

No it shouldn't, all your doing is changing your custom recovery and nothing else.

And one last noob question. Just to make sure. My phone needs to be I. Download mode when doing this on Odin? With reboot checked and everything? I just want to make sure I don't mess up anything.

My personal opinion... TWRP recovery is the way to go.... I understand there is a weird deal with the partitioning on the SG3 with TWRP where you place stuff but otherwise its the best recovery IMO.

Actually the easiest way to flash this recovery is by using mobile Odin from your phone. No computer or download mode needed.

Installation Instructions...

1. Download both files to your phone.
2. Click on Odin Lite and choose install (Do not open yet)
3. Click on OdinFlash Kernel and choose install (Do not open)
4 .Open OdinLite and grant root permission. It should now find the OdinFlash
