I rooted my lg optimus v today. i tried to install a rom via clockwork everything went fine till it restarted and now my phone wont get past the pink lg logo!

how did you root it?

there is only ONE method that is guaranteed to work. the others (gingerbreak, SuperOneClick Via "root" button) cause this exact problem.


if youve rooted by not using the correct method. that is the cause of your problem.

thats weird .. i used the same method as you and everything is fine. the only thing i did was flash the recovery cwm with RomMan and then rebooted to recovery and flashed the IHO rom IN the recovery...

That's probably your problem. Use Gingerbreak, it's easy & works.

Did you use ADB to push su and busybox to the ov?

yeah i used push su and busybox onto the v. i even checked using root checker. it was alright

Do not use Rom Manager to flash. Go to your recovery, wipe data, cache, under advanced wipe dalvik, under mounts, format data, system, boot, cache. Then flash the rom and for cm 7 roms, flash the gapps.

when i try to wipe everything from clockwork i get a blank clockwork screen

The buttons on the front of the phone won't work except the back button. Use the side volume buttons to move up and down. Use the side camera button to enter. Use front back button to go back.

Have you tried flashing a new recovery?
