cyanogen 6.1.2 stable problems with market and contacts....help

I flashed cyanogen 6.1.2 stable about an hour ago, I like the look of it, but my contacts are gone, I have been unable to sync to my gmail, and I dont have the market. Is this a simple fix? I am pretty new at this, so would it be better to use a recovery image?

You need to activate your phone with your carrier...*228 if your a VZW customer.
