Cyanogenmod for Incredible 2.

With the crappy attitude of this particular developer I'm thinking of just forgetting about Cyanogenmod entirely. Idgaf if he has the flu or not. These people need to realize we, the user base, are their bread and butter and don't deserve to be treated with derision and threats because they released something under the pretense of being stable when it is clearly not. Yes, I'm aware of the disclaimers that they, and other AOSP dev's ask you to read before flashing and installing their software, but there comes a time when that just doesn't fly, and I believe it's when they release software under false pretenses.
There's a reason why nightlies exist, and it's for ROM's like this that haven't been fully tested and the bugs haven't been fully realized and flushed out. (by the dev's own admission he hadn't tested the ROM on verizon before releasing it)
Understand also, that I came from a Fascinate, so I'm very patient with bugs in my software, but this guy's attitude is just ridiculous and has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Dear Michors.IV - I agree with you ... this is not something YOU want to be a part of. So please leave. I (and with me many others) are quite pleased with all the effort that volunteers put into this ROM development. Yes, not all is 100% perfect; but we don't care living with that, as we know that this is a process we are willing to go through together with these volunteer developers. Nothing stops anyone from installing the development environment and start making one's own changes.

Bros..
there are somethings that we like & we dont like, it's up to us to choose..but dont give such a "bad" compliment to these volunteer developers. If you dont like it, please just keep it for yourself ;)
let us give these developers some appreciation..

Anyway, I also want to give some bugs report on "stable" CM for Inc2, the global phone mode (switching between GSM & CDMA network) will make Inc2 crashed.
but sometimes when you switch to GSM, you have to reboot ur device then u can use GSM but only GPRS not 3G.
but for CDMA's users, it is a great ROM ;)

Yes. Attn1 has done some awesome work lately. I just loaded nightly 109, and it is the best build yet. It is hard for me to find anything that does not work like I want it. i would still like better GSM/Global support, but CM7 is definitely a great daily driver for those staying in the USA. I know some people got upset at the forum attitude, but the changes you cannot deny. He responded.

Hi folks, just rooted my Dinc2 and flashed Cyanogenmod 7 last night. So far quite satisfied With speed and better battery life. Just curious about some good apps, how to tether for other devices, screensand a few screen shots that I might want to Jock. Much oblige.

Tethering is inside the Network settings, and you can easily take screenshots by holding the power button down

I am having 1 small issue with CM7. When ever my phone reboots/restarts all of my notification sounds change to something other than what I had them set at. I have to manually change them back after every reboot/restart. Anyone else having this issue, or know of a fix?

I've tried CM7 a couple times before, but I just can't stick with it. I love the speed and battery life, but I miss sense too much to stay! But it's a pretty great ROM, or for being AOSP anyways. :p

I know what you mean. I used CM7 for about a month or so, and it is wicked fast for sure and the battery life is good. I have used about 5 different ROMS since rooting my phone. I am now using the Skyradier Zeus ROM and love it so far. I will probably load something different after a while though, but it is nice to use Sense again for a change. Also for some reason it always slightly annoyed me that the AOSP ROMS didnt rotate the soft buttons. It was never a reason for me leaving a ROM just a little OCD trip.

I could never stick with AOSP for a month. I think the longest I've ever stayed on it was like a day. I just find the Sense UI much better and complete.

I just had a quick question

I'm using CM 7.1 with Launcher PRO

When I get an incoming call it doesn't say the city and state of the phone number the person is calling from, is there a fix for this?

I believe that is a bloatware app from Verizon called CityID, I don't think CM7 uses it.

Ok so how do I install it then, cuz when I install it, it missing things like the status bar or phone app. I can place widgets on my hope screen or go to the settings window.

Something don't seem right! I'm assuming that you flashed GAPPS, right?
