Dang. Got excited for a sec thinking that the nightly WAS CM9.

I keep looking for the initial CM9 for the EVO 4G, but nothing.....other phones have an initial build in testing...no news in this case is probably not good news (in terms of seeing something soon).

It has been almost 4months since the ICS code drop. This seems to be the longest development cycle yet -- with work ongoing... Makes me wonder if future versions will require at least 6 months or more before release. This means google will release a software version and before users get to use it, another version will be released.

Yes, it will take progressively longer due mostly to the proliferation of hardware. So many android phones now dillute the pool of developers for each. Couple that with OEMs trying to differentiate with exotic hardware changes 3d, graphic cores, +1 cpu's, nfc, pen input, camera features, etc.
