Cyanogen's Nightly Builds

Ya but I thought we could clock higher on the last kernal

There is no need to on this kernel. Plus I'm sure Cyanogen has a good reason why he lowered it.

Automatic vs external for apps

Is the difference between automatic and external that with automatic only apps marked as ok to install on SD card, where external installs all new apps to SD card?

This is on the 8/13 nightly with snap v7 but I doubt that's relevant.

Just flashed 8-14 and flashed d3x5t4r-kernel over and oc'd to 1.19
got a quadrant score of 1606
linpack 38.228
fps2d 51fps
neocore 31.1

Cyanogen on lowering the speed:

So, I've decided to give up on waiting for 4g and jump into one of the Cyanogen nightly builds. 4G will be here soon enough. Which build should I use? It doesn't need to be the most stable ever, but I'm not computer savvy enough to troubleshoot and fix most technical problems. Any advice?

Ok. Good. I thought some ppl were saying that the most recent one has a few problems. Thank you!

So I flashed the 8/14 nightly and got these results. Which is ok.
Quadrant-1245
Linpack-35
OC 1152 Mhz

So I figured I'll load the new CM6 v7.01kernel I've been hearing good results about.
Quadrant-1491
Linpack-38
OC 1152Mhz

Quadrant-1452
Linpack-39.8
OC 1190Mhz

I must say I'm kind of disappointed. I had better results with configured what is in my sig?

Anyone have an idea why this is like this?

EDIT: I just realized I need to do the sdcard mod for better results.

Did you wipe before flashing from the old kernel to the new one? I get about 2200 on quadrant overclocked with the newest snap

I flashed 8-14 this morning about 8am, battery was at ~55%. Went to sleep and woke up about 3.30ish to find the battery dead. Recharged, and upon unplugging, I could watch the battery level drop 1% about every minute.

I've never had battery issues on any of the other nightlies, nor before I rooted. Wiped and nandroided back to the 8-12 nightly.

Edit: Now I realized that I should have checked to see what was using the battery......Oh well
