D2spr changed to D2lte?

I just got a notification for the new cyanogen mod update, and it says D2lte instead of the normal d2spr. I also noticed in rom installer that the aokp rom has the same D2lte

Is this safe? Has d2spr transitioned into D2lte?

Yep, all US variants of the Galaxy S3 is classified as d2lte and it's as safe as flashing an old d2spr ROM.
