Daily wallpaper

I have been using Google daily wallpaper and up until the latest security patch and pixel feature drop on March 2 it was changing once a day, around 2-4AM. However since March 2 it had been changing twice a day, now also changing during late afternoon. Has anybody else noticed this? Do you think this was intentional or a bug? It happens no matter what category of wallpaper I am using on the Google wallpaper app. Thank you.

It might help to clear the app's cache. Since it's a system app, just go to settings>apps and notifications>app info. Tap the three dots and tap show system. Search for wallpaper and it's the one called "Styles and Wallpapers." Tap storage and cache and clear cache.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Yesterday the wallpaper changed midday. Any thoughts?
