What kind of battery life do you get on your nexus 7?

At a recent seminar I was taking notes for over 8 hours without needing to recharge.

True! I love not having to be careful with brightness etc. Just to last the day.

my battery is now excellant since I removed the Google Play widget (was causing a lot of drain)

I now get about 8hrs usage/3 days standby, whichever comes first

So you just delete the Google Play icon from the home screen?

How do you get to the Play Store now?

It was the big widget on the home page I got rid of, the one that shows your books, movies etc, I just access the play store from the play store app

for some reason this widget kept my device awake and my battery was going down by around 10%/hour, whether I used it or not

I think the Nexus 7 does have pretty good battery life, but your chart shows that you partially charged it twice in that time frame.

Not heavy usage, an idea less than normal. I'm satisfied with the battery, if it was 24hrs full usage it would have been dreamlike

Yea, my thoughts are if you are going to try to mislead people, at least use PhotoShop to make the lie believable.

Battery life is aight, nothing spectacular but not bad by any means. using a screen filter app and disabling things like bt/wifi when you don't need it, really helps. I just like that the charger is nice and portable :) it's part of the reason I prefer this to my laptop--a laptop charger is like a 3 lb deadweight in your bag.

anyone know what "Tablet idle" is? That thing's eaten 10% of my battery.

Woah, hold on there. I wasn't trying to mislead anyone. I actually didn't know that it was plugged it in. What happened was I probably fell asleep and someone plugged it in for me. I'm just a happy android user who loves his nexus 7. That's all.

I certainly feel that while sitting idle, between the N7 and KFHD, N7 was the clear winner. KFHD likes to drain battery like no tomorrow and needs to be baby sat to make sure it goes into deep sleep. This was on a rooted KFHD with gapps installed.

Overall, I still enjoy the battery life on the N7.

Same here... and I wasn't trying to imply you were misleading people. Just wanted to point it out.

I think the battery is pretty good, above average, but not amazing.

Play some CPU-intensive game and it'll drain right quick. Put it in standby with WiFi, Bluetooth, and syncing off, and it'll last a very long time. For "normal" usage, it's pretty good, but not amazing.

Now then, 20 hours with "normal" usage would be amazing, unless it's 5 years from now, in which case it would be considered average.

It wasn't you I was replying too. It was directed toward root brain who did imply I was trying to mislead people. Thank you for pointing that out to me though. :D

I haven't timed it, or really paid much attention to it, but it amazes me how long I can continue to use it for reading, watching videos, and browsing the web. As a matter of habit I charge it overnight on the desk next to my bed, but it never seems to go below 50% unless I use it alot. The second biggest issue (behind general usability) I've always had with tablets is battery life, and it's amazing to me how that's gotten better over the years. PDAs also turned me off but these smartphones have gotten so awesome that I'm glad I have both a tablet and smartphone (Atrix 2). I can basically work or study or play "mobiley" (is that even a word?) without touching a PC all day, and without having to rush to charge these things, or I can connect them to a PC and charge them while moving files about. :D
