Dang it AT&T! I wanted a better box!

To Each their own but the packaging is important to me. I have all my iphone boxes and the S7E packaging was beautiful. Its beyond comprehension why At&t would do this. Apple would never allow them to do this to one of their phones

That because Apple have standard that Samsung doesn't have. Apple is not a better phone but my dad only buy apple because that company has good support and can go to an Apple store to get your phone fix anytime instead of sending it in.

Let's back up for a minute.. Samsung is all about marketing their Galaxy brand with all these ads on the internet as well thru the olympics. All these carriers are using Samsung boxes.. at least as far as I know.

And there's plenty of unbox vids with Samsung branding... and again all carriers are using these Samsung boxes, but nooooo.. AT&T decides to use their cheap box. But on top of that charge AT&T customers 30 bucks more and it's suppose to be "ahhh whatever."

I do understand the simple logic "it's just a box"... but it's the principle of it, as consumers paying AT&T upgraded fees to feel cheated is uncalled for. Sometimes a line has to be drawn.

Samsung's Olympic-branded S7 Edge comes with a really attractive presentation box. I thought of buying one of those but I did just buy an S7 Edge at the end of June; apparently my smartphone 'addiction' does have a ceiling. An Olympic-branded Note 7 would have been a nice nod to collectors and the outgoing 2016 Olympics. I saved all of the boxes which my phones came in since my Palm Treo 650 back in '04. I have a special box (!) for those boxes kept in cool, dry storage so that the glue doesn't deteriorate.

I agree and I am NOT happy. I save the box to resell the phone on Craigslist when I'm ready and having a pristine original box and materials makes a difference in the price you get when reselling. THIS POS is going to cost ME when reselling. BS!

Imagine Samsung doing up their Olympic Special Edition packaging in their warehouse and then AT&T busts down the door like the Kool-Aid man and starts bending all of them over as they replace the nice olympic packaging with their crap AT&T boxes. And then the olympians who happen to use AT&T get that trash box while the others get the full olympic treatment.

God bless Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. Never thought I'd say that.

I'll take that box over the AT&T box. Gosh my 25 dollars Alcatel phone box look better than that AT&T box. I was like OP is crazy until I saw the box and broke out laughing so hard.
