I'm not much of an Apple product fan, but the Apple Watch does look very impressive--especially the interface. I DESPISE how clunky the interface is on the Gear, primarily due to the limitation of just 4 measly icons per screen. That's just lame and what bugs me the most about my watch.

Apple has raised the bar, IMO. Samsung, time to step up your game.

Yeah, Android Wear really needs a Launcher. That'll set you back a couple of dollars on Play Store. You get a choice of quite a few different ones. I think Mini Launcher looks nice. I'm not a fan of the iWatch appearance though, I thought they might go for a round design.

I don't think it personally is much better than the gear. It's good but not sure what people expect from a watch.

Don't forget I don't have Android Wear. I'm wearing Tizen. Seriously in need of a launcher (and agree on AW also).

I think the Apple Watch looks ugly. I honestly thought it would look better.

I agree. After all the mock-ups, my first thought was that it looked like a fancy iPod 6.

The iWatch was impressive technically but not very good looking, while the iPhone 6 looks good but not very impressive technically.

Hopefully, this got Samsung and Google's attention.

I watch is ugly. I will take the moto 360 over it. Plus it probaly only works with ios

Well the numbers don't look very impressive, but I guarantee it will outperform most Android devices. Moto X and Nexus 5 are going to be similar though. Gotta love stock Android :)

I agree, I was expecting a more innovative and futuristic, but clean streamline design. I don't care for the 2 physical buttons. I wonder why they didn't highlight Siri, therefore no need for the physical buttons and multiple swipes.

The Gear 2 and Gear S look better and can do more. The $349 base price, imo, not worth it.

They explained why they added hardware buttons. Pinch to zoom on a smart watch doesn't work very well, so they added the rotating crown.

It looks nice and is promising, but I was actually expecting something more "revolutionary". I have a Gear 2 Neo and I'm even more content today than I was before. Having a version for females is nice, but my Gear 2 Neo fits me just fine and I love all the functionality. Sure, it's in it's infancy of what these things can/will do, but except for a few cool new features on the Apple watch, I think mine has everything covered. And plus, I'm a lefty and I couldn't deal with having that scroll wheel on the wrong side. My guess is that they'll make one for lefties eventually.

Apple is good at one thing. Taking things that are already out there, renaming them something cool, and then presenting them like they are the "next best thing". I was even caught a few times today watching the live stream (when it was working that is) going "ooohh...cool...er, wait...I have that already on my phone, except Android calls it ____" Either way, competition is good. About damn time a large iPhone came along and it'll be interesting to see how this Apple watch helps fuel Samsung/Moto to make even better versions of what they've already started.

Right, I got that...Apple tends to favor simple and clean line designs, so I find the buttons of Digital Crown and Contact to be opposite of that. Too bad the pinch to zoom can not be achieved via touch screen; turning the Digital Crown is an extra step. The tiny circular apps all bunched up can be hard to select with any size finger.

I do have other questions. Can this device dial/receive phone calls? Take pics and videos? Can Siri allow for action commands?

In usual clever Apple fashion, even the watchband is proprietary fitment. Want to change it? Sure... but you'll need to buy the alternative from Apple.

So not a single one of you get aggravated at navigating through a bunch of screens to find the icon you are looking for? With just 4 icons per screen, it's maddening to me to flick, flick, flick, flick...until I get to the screen that contains the icon I'm after.

You can search for the app by swiping down :)

hmmm... the Apple Watch doesn't have a camera. I actually use the camera on my Gear 2...
