Dark mode in Gmail,app

I have read that Gmail.app gets a dark mode when you have Android 10.
Is it possible way for Android 9 that Gmail.app also gets a dark mode?

Which phone do you have? Samsung phones got an overall dark mode with Pie.

I believe OP has s9+
I have dark mode on Android 10 with my Note 10+


Edit: I'm not sure on my s9+ on android 9 if it has will check later, I dont use that phone often .

I have S9 plus. No not each apps get automatic dark mode if I have enabled night mode. I must a manual apps for dark mode example Chrome: chrome://flags.

Yes for themes in settings of chrome you can enable dark mode but for gmail its server side update that will get dark mode .
