I'm so bummed, I've been using Dark Sky IMO it's the best and most accurate weather app.

Of course the evil empire is shutting it down on June 1st for Android users.

Any suggestions on a clean weather app that isn't riddled with ads?

Today Weather

I didn't hear about that! That is disappointing... But at least there are a tonnage of other weather apps to choose from!

I didn't see any alternatives on there.
Then soon maybe these apps provide what I need. I just need an app that lets me know how long the train is going to last like darksky did.
Not sure , never used the app , might ask some of the others that have .

Take a look at Weather Underground:

Very accurate forecasts, including rain start and stops.
The acquisition by IBM resulting in a new UI that broke a bunch of stuff and lost most of the widgets, but the latest release has some noticeable fixes that is slowly getting the app back to where it was.

Weather Underground is very expansive and thorough. It was a good experience when I used it.

I am also dissapointed, I really liked Dark Sky. The part I am really going to miss is the Rain Alarm. I can't find anything else that does as good a job at letting me know when it is going to rain. Anyway, take a look at "Hello Weather " on the app store. It is alot like Dark Sky and very clean. Also (for now) runs on the Dark Sky API as well as others.

Interesting -- I wonder how they monetize the app, considering it's free and ad-free? I see that there are in-app purchases available -- does the basic app lack a bunch of features?

The basic app doesn't lack much. The only thing I see is that the app offers 5 different weather API's to connect to. MET.no, Dark Sky, Weatherbit, World Weather Online and Accuweather. All are free to connect to except Accuweather. That one you need to make a donation for. Other than that all seems to work in the basic app.

I'm testing out Appy Weather and Shadow Weather. Both use the Dark Sky API.
