I have downloaded the widget.
I can add it to the second lock screen but I can't delete or find a way to replace the stock clock on the lock screen that appears when the phone is first lites up from the power button.

What am I doing wrong ?

I believe it's impossible to replace the stock clock display.

I was hoping to be able to do that too, but to no avail. This means it always requires a single swipe to get to the widget.

Move the widget to the right most position by holding on the widget and then dragging. You can remove the stock clock by long pressing and then dragging up to the remove icon

It's not impossible, I've replaced mine with the "Fixed Clock" widget.

1. Add your new clock widget to your lock screen.
2. Tap and hold the OLD clock widget (like you would when deleting an app from your home screen).
3. Once the lock screen zooms out, drag the old clock widget to the top of the screen where it says "Remove."

I've done this on both of my Nexus devices, hope it helps :)

I'm using DIGI clock widget. Alot of options and font's to choose from.
