Data connection issues with juice defender

I've installed Juice Defender on my Bionic and I can say that I've been happy with it, expect for one thing. I understand that this app shuts off your data connection when your screen shuts off, which is what i want it to do and here is where my problem is. When I activate the screen the data connection should be restored, some times it works sometimes it doesn't. More often then not i have to cycle air plane mode on and off to get my data to connect again. I've been letting the phone sit with the screen on to see how long it takes to restore the connection and it's been taking a long time and like i said sometimes it doesn't even connect.

Has anyone else experienced this with Juice Defender and the Bionic?

I've run into the same problems. Juice Defender worked great on my Droid Incredible, but when I tried using it on the Bionic it would take a long time to reconnect to data when I turned the screen on (and sometimes wouldn't reconnect at all). Was hoping the OTA update released last month would help with this, but no dice. Maybe I'll give Juice Defender another try after the next OTA update.

uninstall it, and just use the battery / data management tools that are already available in settings. You can set up a complete custom mode there.

Ok @LBubs i will give that i try. Thanks @the_animal99 I was hoping it wasn't just me.

When you turn screen on you must wait about 5 seconds for data to come back on before doing anything. I use to use juice defender and liked how it extended my battery life but i got sick of waiting the 5 seconds for data to comeback. No matter, always have a fully charged spare battery in my pocket just incase.

I used it for a while, and got sick of the constant delay to get data back. For some people it makes sense, but I'll go periods where I want to check data for 10 seconds or so then leave my phone sitting again for 40 minutes.

I ended up uninstalling and I use an extended battery, run the entire day on 4G w/ wifi when at work without much drainage at all using just custom settings.

I had the same issues with juice defender and since I also have an extended battery then ill uninstall that app and try the custom setting under battery too. Thks.
