Data Freeze?

Several times a day when trying to access the internet, it seems as if my data is frozen/stuck. I'll try accessing a website and the the blue bar on my address bar will just stay stuck. The only thing that seems to fix it is if I do a restart. My email acct also freezes up at the same time. Once the phone has been restarted, I am able to access websites and send/receive emails.

Any suggestions?

you can try an app like "restart connections" in lieu of a restart.

Pull battery and sim and let sit for 5 minutes.

I wouldn't necessarily say you've got a problem on your hands. I'd attribute that to a common LTE issue, packet loss & ping rate, being the likely culprits. LTE is not a stable data connection compared to other forms. It's fast but it seems to suffer at times because of that speed. I think most of us in congested or fringe areas, especially. Strong coverage is not immune as well, see it happen. I see it once or twice a day with heavy usage on online. I just stop it then reload the page til it works, again or toggle data off/on. I've never had to pull my battery or power off to get it working. It's always been a minor wait till ping recovers and data packets make the round trip back to the phone w/out drops along the way.

I'm starting to get this over wi-fi. The problem persists across multiple access points. Turning the radio off and on does not help. If I use LTE or CDMA the connection is fine. I really can't have this as I use my phone for push notifications of network status and support calls. Can I ever get a GD device that just works!?

lol! Here's some additional info. This, for me anyway, seems to stem from some interaction between the telephone and wi-fi radios. If I restart the wi-fi radio the issue persists. if I restart the "mobile network' radio the issue resolves.

Wish I could assist you better all I have are questions to ponder on. To me, it seems your issue appears unrelated to the OP. My only guess is a hardware issue or weak wifi connectivity since you listed it as occurring w/ multiple access points. How strong is your wifi signal when this occurs(*)? Is this happening on both private and public wifi? Does is happen often or sporadically? Did it just begin outta the blue or from day 1?

These are all private access points within 15ft of the phone. It's not a signal strength or, IMO, a hardware issue. Remember, I cannot restore wi-fi connectivity unless I turn the "mobile network" radio off. At that point I get connectivity on wi-fi. When I turn the "mobile network" radio back on I get connectivity all around. Another thing I noticed is that when this happens the phone seems confused about what radio to use. Even though it should be using wi-fi you can see activity on the LTE side. It's almost like the phone is trying to send data from the LTE radio and receive the return traffic on the wi-fi radio. This happens about once a day now. The thing is that I don't know this is going on unless I'm actively using the phone. I miss any system monitoring mail that comes my way until I notice the problem occurring. Not a real good thing in my line of work.

Open your browser, go into browser settings, clear cache and then restart browser. Every once in awhile I will clear cookies and history.

I also use app cache cleaner from the market. Great tool. Helps keep everything running smooth.

I've had issues where my Rezound has issues connecting to the mobile network for a while in areas I know have good service. If I restart the phone it's fine and connects everytime, but the restart takes forever! Pretty frustrating. Happens 2-3 times a week. Also happens occasionally on WiFi where it will connect to my WiFi but I can't get any internet. Definitely not my network bc laptop still works fine. Also seems to be fixable with a restart.
