Data in Canada

Mobile data does not seem to work on my Charge in Canada. I called Verizon and they said that NO 4g phones will have data working in Canada for some time. However, I have a friend with a Thunderbolt which has data working just fine in Canada (we are both US based).

Does anyone have a similar experience or has successfully roamed to Canada with a Charge? I have "use roaming data" checked and my network set as CDMA.

Is your account flagged to work outside of the us? By default your account is set to not work out of the states so they don't get roaming charge complaints.

That may be the case, however I used to have a Blackberry Curve which had data in Canada just fine. Would the switch to 4G have removed the "outside the US" flag on my account?
