Please indulge me with explaining what I am trying to do regarding adding a tablet(s) to how I currently use my HTC Evo.
I currently have two EVOs; one for me and one for my wife. I am interested in buying two EVO View tablets when the come out but am confused on the best option regarding data plans and the costs associated. Obviously, I want to eliminate as much monthly expense that I can.
My thought now...which I am throwing out for input on....is to buy the two new Views as Wifi capable only (no 3g plan from Sprint)....thus, no additional monthly charge for the use of the Views. Question one..is that accurate? Our current setup allows us to do email, send texts, access internet via wifi connection while we are home. I am assuming the Views could do the same, correct? I also assume that we would be able to do all of the above away from home when we have access to other wifi opportunities.
If we were to root both EVOs....and carry them along with the respective EVO tablet they are matched with...we would be able to access data in situations when no wifi is available, correct?
It seems like this would be a way to utilize the capabilies of all four devices with no extra monthly charge...beyond the expense of the new devices (Views) themselves. Is the correct?
Thoughts? Am I missing something?
