I recently was given a customer sat survey for Tmobile, I gave them 1-9's mainly 1's for severely dissatisfied and would not recommend to another friend to join.
Why I did this
1. I still have my original phone plan upgrade sheet in front of me, I had been without a contract for 4-5 years.....then upgraded to G2x...upon upgraded to an unlimited plan I was throttled to a 2G a month in 6 months? That is no where in this contract I still have on my desk from 5/11/2011. (I maybe use 2.2 G a month......rarely stream anything unless Im on Wifi...another reason why I was upset would be my belief that recent updates to Facebook via timeline, caused massive amounts of data increases in the background. I do not blame Tmobile for this so instead I took Facebook app off of my phone.)
2. I never had 4g before and assuming it was great and powerful, jumped at the chance to utilize it, so I upgraded. 4G rarely gets a strong signal unless outdoors in downtown in the city I am in(central Texas, tech capital of Texas)......in a building, forget it it's gone.
3. The phone is no longer receiving platform update to Ice cream sandwich, froyo sucked at first! Gingerbread was ok......again my main complaint was I had to enter into a 2 year contract but my phone was now unsupported from LG 9 months later......I had one phone before, so I was not used to this manufacturers game so still, I believe I was rightful to make the comparison.
The customer satisfaction group contacted me to review this......they stated they were not clear but it should have been pointed out. I brought up the contract, phone outlines, and phone details again stating it's now where on here so I cannot see your side Tmobile.
Regardless, here is what I got offered.....uplift to 5G data, no charge/same plan. Fair I believe. Advice to switch my wireless>cell network>turn on data roaming.....it supposed to connect to local towers and beef up cell signal and I will not incur any roaming fees unless international in Canada or Mexico. And this will help some of the battery drain when roaming is on because it wont be stretching for that 4G tower???
I guess I will stay in my contract for the remainder of my 13 months..........I will do so probably now unless I find a reason to buy outright a phone with NFC(highly doubt I will want it) or maybe to get Ice cream sandwich.....this is a maybe because I am looking at android compatible media players for my car and need something that can sync via blue tooth.
I am a bit(much) happier today with the outcome.....we shall see how it goes.(kudos to Tmobile, and I came to them from ATT in 2002 after ATT took away my unlimited plan by gouging on a phone upgrade then. I would like to from here forward utilize my SIM card and only outright buy a new model without contracts, therefore any future complaints are all on me.).
Edit: I bought the screen replacement and bezel replacement and it made it look brand new.....however, do not forget to wear gloves or never touch the inside of the screen, it leaves maddening finger prints that show up on the LCD and interior side of the gorilla glass. I am going to order another replacement now and clean it up again due to dings and that annoying finger print....
