Data plan while abroad

Hey all,

I live in NYC and will be traveling to France for new years. I've never really left the country so I'm not sure what to do about my phone while traveling. I'm using a Pixel on Verizon now (bought from the Google Store), but I would rather not mess with my Verizon family plan if I don't have to. Should I get prepaid sim? Any recommendations? I care more about data then calls or text, I neeeed google maps while traveling.

Have you looked into Verizon's international plans? https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...services/international-travel/&token=sEA4gpf7. You can typically add these temporarily while you're on your trip, then take them off, and it shouldn't affect your existing plan. Call Verizon and ask them about it.

Personally, I use whatsap (on WiFi) to communicate with friend and family, and get a cheap prepaid sim while abroad. Saves bill shock when I get home!
