Data Roaming Warning while on wifi?

OK, so I was a bit sluggy this morning and decided to play a round or two of Angry Birds before I got out of bed.

I was on wifi and during the game, I kept getting a data roaming warning popping up and freezing the game (grrrrrr).

How can I be data roaming if I am connected to wifi? Should I worry about this? Does it just mean that I have no reception at that moment? Why would Epic even check if a different data connection was active?

it just means that your going to be roaming when you make your calls or whatever.
the reason that it asks if you want to data roam is because roaming on a phone call is different than roaming while on data.

so if your in a place with no service - the phone switches to a different carriers CDMA network, more than likely verizons. so when you turn your wifi off it needs to know what to do.

I think shaund nailed it. And luckily Sprint no longer charges for roaming minutes, so no worries right?

Hope so...today I could not get GPS reading until I rebooted. I think something's up, hoping it is just Sprint and not the Epic. I used GPS test and although it saw 11 satellites, it used none of them.

On another note, 4G came on for me...Mr.Gr's EVO never even saw 4G (but his GPS worked).

4g came on instead of gps? or you turned on 4g and actually got signal?

but its probably your phone because my gps works every time i use it without question.
and it finds a lock pretty fast, idk why people are always complaining about it not working.

and i too found 4g. turns out my school is a breeding ground for that ****
